: 3-wheeler is the easiest.
Tip:
The Indian Institute of Science (IISc) is popularly known as "Tata Institute"
In Bangalore city. At least many of the cab drivers won't understand otherwise.
Note : fares are indicative
fares and will probably increase soon, due to the recent diesel price hike
in India.

Modes of Transport within
the City :

Public Bus (Bangalore Transport
Service) : Available, but extremely crowded at rush hours. Frequency is
below expectation.

Three-Wheelers (known as auto-rickshaw)
: Abundant, maximum pf 3 persons per cab, runs in meter. Fare as per the
meter during 7 a.m. to 9 p.m, 1.5 times the meter otherwise (could be even
two times after midnight).

Radio Taxi's : Newly introduced,
but not so popular yet. You would find a few of them outside airport/railway
stn.

Ordinary Taxi's : Very few of
them. However you do get prepaid taxi's from airport.
