Pharmacokinetics and Pharmacodynamics (PK/PD) have now become essential tools for determining the appropriate use of currently available anti-infective agents as well as for accelerating the development of new drugs. While this is now more and more recognized by Academia, Industry and Regulatory Agencies (see the ISAP / FDA and ISAP / EMEA workshops held in 1999, there is presently a lack of training into these disciplines. Accordingly, ISAP has endeavoured to launch educational activities in this context. The aim is to train people professionally involved in development or in the use of antiinfective drugs in the basic and applied aspects of pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics, showing how these sciences have emerged over the last 10 years and how their influence has grown. This 10th workshop of ISAP will continue the tradition of educational workshops initiated in Berlin, Germany, in 1999 and will include the latest developements discussed at ISAP research meetings and symposia during the last decade.
Each participant will
receive a certificate for participation.

The workshop
will take
in The Prague Congress Centre (PCC)
in the "Conference Hall" ( 4th floor)
Located in a
unique position on top of one of the Prague hills,
offering a beautiful view of the famous skyline of Prague, with the
silhouette of the Prague Castle, the PCC has its own metro station only
three stops from downtown Prague. From Central Station (Hlavní nádraží),
take metro line C (direction Háje).
In Vyšehrad station you get
off - this is the third station down from Hlavní nádraží.
Prague Congress Centre is next to the station..

responsible for accomodation which must be taken care of individually
by each participant. Attendants participating to the 14th European Congress of
Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases (ECCMID) may
wish to take advantage of their offerings (see Useful Links).
Registration is open to all ISAP members and to all professionals active or having interest in the pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics of antiinfective agents.
