Over the years, the symposium, which ISAP helds just after the Interscience Conference on Antimicrobial Agents and Chemotherapy (ICAAC) has become specifically devoted to this type "New concept/New data" discussion meeting (see "Past meetings and activities"). The present meeting extend this concept to meetings held after the European Congress of Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases (ECCMID), which is becoming over the years the premier European Meeting devoted to Anti-infective Chemotherapy.
This
year's meeting will be no exception to this rule and the programme will
focus both on controversial issues, where new data and discussions are
needed, as well as reviews on major issues important for the evaluation
of the importance of pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics for effect
in vivo of new agents.
The focus of the programme this year is also in
bringing new views, and to discuss new topics. Effort will be
made towards a real, in depth discussion among all participants based
on presentations meant to be informative, and even sometimes
provocative, but concentrating always on new concepts and data at the
cutting edge of the Science of Pharmacokinetics and Pharmacodynamics of
Antiinfectives.
(some modifications to the programme and the schedule may be necessary; please check this page regularly for changes)

The Serum Institut is situated on the same island (Amager) as the The Copenhagen Bella Center [!! this link opens a new window], which is the conference center where ECCMID takes place). From the Bella Centre, take the metro to "Islands Brygge" (3 stops from the Bella Centre), and walk about 100 meters to the institute.
ISAP will not be
responsible for accomodation which must be taken care of individually
by each participant. Attendants participating to the 15th European Congress of
Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases (ECCMID) may
wish to take advantage of their offerings (see Useful Links).
Registration is open to all professionals active or having interest in the pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics of antiinfective agents.
Please,
register with the organizer (Prof. N. Frimodt-Moeller: E-mail: NFM@ssi.dk )
There is,
so far, no registration fee but participants are expected to may for
meals.
