ISAP Post-ICAAC Symposium - PK/PD in special sites of infection

Focused presentation of cutting-edge
topics and the resulting high-level discussion at our Post-ICAAC symposia make
this one of the most anticipated scientific PK/PD events of the year.
As in previous years, the symposium has two parts.
1. Research trends:
This years focus is on recent PK/PD research and trends related to TB drugs.
2. Forum for Young Investigators:
Brief presentations on PK/PD topics related to TB drugs as well as other areas
are eligible and encouraged for submission.

• PK/PD in special sites of infection - TB drugs
- Brief introduction to M. tuberculosis-infection (U. Theuretzbacher
- Studying PK/PD of TB drugs - A daunting challenge (C. Peloquin)
- Discussion
• Young investigator presentations (PK/PD of TB drugs and general PK/PD):
10 min presentations
The agenda provides time for discussion after each presentation. At the closing
of the symposium, ISAP travel awards for the accepted Young Investigators' presentations
will be granted. Young Investigators are those within 3 years of graduation
or post-doc appointments.
